Job title: Graduate Developer

Most fun thing about your job?

The most fun part about my job is the opportunity to work across multiple teams, experiment on and develop different codebases, gain a vast knowledge of various applications as well as a deeper insight into the company. Understanding the overlap between different teams is really a gift since cross-movement between teams and languages is generally very infrequent.

Most challenging thing about your job?

The most challenging aspect was navigating limitations during development due to codebase specifications, library inter-dependency, design requirements or wider impact to other applications and stakeholders. The strong coupling between moving parts of different applications often means careful attention to detail is extremely important.

What surprised you about Maven when you first joined?

The most surprising thing about Maven was the low-pressure environment relative to the rest of the industry with a versatile range of tools and applications. Everyone is extremely supportive, helpful and respectful which really makes Maven a great place to work.
