Job title: Graduate Trader

Piece of advice?

Always be open minded and trade – don’t get so attached to a position that you have or would like to have.

Most fun thing about your job?

I get to discuss my trading ideas with very experienced traders and put them to the test in the market every day.

Most challenging thing about your job?

Given that I am on a relatively new desk, my biggest challenge is building trading tools and developing the desk from a technical aspect, but this is also something I enjoy working on when trading is quiet.

What surprised you about Maven when you first joined?

The culture is open here – I can go sit next to someone who is 10yrs senior to me and ask questions very freely. There is no hierarchy and everyone here is willing to help you develop.
